Tried to make my TV Satellite Antenna with a longer wire and cable splitter, appears as the antenna was disconnected?

Hello Guys, I went the other day at Wal-Mart and I bought one of these cables coming from the antenna to the receiver and attach a separator two son, I just wanted an adapter, but they have not had one while I am a dispatcher, I get a message on TV that he did no reception, which could be the problem? Is it because I did not plug another cable at the splitter?

Make sure to come to the end of the antenna in the entry (one entry per splitter). The dispatcher only needs a wire that is leaving not the problem check the connection and make sure that the central copper wire is not bent or broken. If they are correct, the distance between the antenna and the TV could be the problem and you need a reminder. Double check all your connections before you get the point.
