Film Review: stephen king's Desperation
It is difficult to believe that the duo behind the television version of Stand and the shining were responsible for this mess of a movie despair. Based on the original novel by stephen king (who also wrote the TV movie) tells the story Desperation a group of lost travelers who are abused and imprisoned by the sadistic police officer in the town of Desperation Collie Entragian (Ron Perlman). Slowly they begin to understand that Entragian was taken by a former pagan god for centuries under the name of Tak who hops from the body of a person another without reason. When travelers are all together (which includes Tom Skerritt, Steven Weber, Annabeth Gish, Charles Durning, Matt Frewer and, to name a few) Entragian / Tak killed everyone in the city.
The following is the number of television films king with little imagination and excitement or even less action than the first passengers are trapped in the police station was then abandoned in a theater, then Tak to fight the excavation site where he was awakened by accident. Parts like seconds dirty everything it owes to the Red Rose Tommyknockers Les Langoliers with little imagination more than any of those films had. Having directed several of the most beloved novels of Stephen King might think Mick Garris not have brought the same drive in this project like he did in the booth or Riding the Bullet, but this film is full of stuff, but nothing we have already seen and experienced before.
The biggest mistake is to Perlman disappears halfway through the film when Tak is done with his body and must move to another (even if for any reason Tak care voice Perlman). Perlman is the only person given anything to play in the film as the rest of the distribution are only a facade with little use in the whole scheme of the film.
