How many number of words are required for short stories?
What is the number of words required for stories to be classified as short stories? Does 1000 words classify as being a short story? Thank you for your help.
A thousands words is more often considered flash fiction. Each magazine and ezine has its own preferred word counts, so check submission guidelines to see whether the places you’d most like to see it appear will accept a story that short.
