what to do if caught in a romance novel?

, As well I am reading this excellent book called Jane Eyre ….. is a romantic novel and I can not help thinking how much I would like to live in their world. now dating and flirting is only superficial, until you find someone to love. all However, you can not find that kind of realtionships today, unless you're deep in a book. my question is, is it okay to get caught up in a book, and not going out to face the reality? Can only read romance novels, and never in our society a little superficial?

No, not acceptable. With the order to live in this world we must face reality. I agree that escape in a book that I am an escapist, but never run from reality just because you think it is shallow or it might be best to our never be happy. Just keep looking for the right person and you may find them in the midst of this superficial world.

No Strings Attached

No Strings Attached

$4.77

Despite millions of album sales, ‘N Sync are an obvious No. 2 to label mates the Backstreet Boys. Fittingly, they try harder–too hard, in fact–through most of their second non-Christmas disc, No Strings Attached. The quintet and Strings’ dozen-plus producers fill these 47 minutes with bland ballads by Diane Warren and Richard Marx, mildly funky workouts like a cover of Johnny Kemp’s “Just Got Pa…

Heart Shaped World

Chris Isaak managed to turn his videogenic visage and brooding masculinity to his advantage in a big way, becoming a sort of MTV-era cross between James Dean and Elvis. Heady stuff, but don’t hate him because he’s beautiful. In fact, Isaak had been plying his trademark latter-day rockabilly sound for some years before the inclusion of “Wicked Game” in the David Lynch film Wild at Heart jolted sale…

Whether the movie Great Expectations was any good or not, the soundtrack excelled, crossing generations and cultures as Cesaria Evora nestles next to the Dead’s “Uncle John’s Band,” and Mono’s breathless “Life in Mono” leads into former Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell’s surprising “Sunshower.” A new song from Pulp, the first solo release by former Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland, and G…

Two Moon Junction [VHS]

This camp spectacle stars Sherilyn Fenn (Boxing Helena) as an upper-crust Southern belle who abandons the posh life for sex on the road with a carny worker. Naturally, the older folk (Burl Ives, Louise Fletcher) take exception. Typically silly, soft-porn stuff from director Zalman King (Wild Orchid), this erotic joke of a movie is good for putting one’s busy brain on hold for awhile. Colorful supp…

The Notebook

The Notebook

$3.73

When you consider that old-fashioned tearjerkers are an endangered species in Hollywood, a movie like The Notebook can be embraced without apology. Yes, it’s syrupy sweet and clogged with clichés, and one can only marvel at the irony of Nick Cassavetes directing a weeper that his late father John–whose own films were devoid of saccharine sentiment–would have sneered at. Still, this touchingly i…
