More recent books would be great, I have many old classics, but I'm struggling to find new, more popular books.

Unless you have a Kindle, you can get books from libraries public for your Reader. Other than that, for more recent versions, you can check sites author and publisher. Sometimes they give freebies (like first book in a series, so you can buy the rest) you are interested. I received many e-books free promotions of this kind.
