Read any book from the Hercule Poirot series by agatha christie. The great thing about them is that if you pay attention, and apply yourself, she drops enough clues for you to solve the mystery along with Poirot.
Also, you could try Edgar Allen Poe, though his books would more likely qualify as short stories and not as novels. “The murder of Marie Roget” is a great book. He wrote it based on newspaper reports of a real murder in Europe. It was his estimation of what might have actually happened based on those reports. In fact, his account was so realistic and his deduction was so good that he was even accused of committing the murder because some of what he deduced was not given in the papers, and the police could not believe that someone could deduce that information.He was in fact, the inventor of stories where you can, using logic and reason, work out the mystery
