Anyone read a good book lately?

I love to read and I hate it when I get stuck reading a book that’s just so-so when I know there are so many great ones out there. My favorite authors are Tess Gerritsen, Michael Crichton, Chuck Palahniuk, and Jodi Picoult. I also have a weakness for Nicholas Sparks sometimes, and I love the Harry Potter series (but this does NOT mean I like Twilight). My favorite genres are mysteries, medical thrillers (a la Gerritsen), and just stories about everyday life type stuff (like Jodi Picoult’s books). I am always up for a classic as long as it is an easy read, because I have to read books for school under a time limit. If your absolute favorite book sounds nothing like anything above, I will still check it out. Thanks in advance!
