Summer Reading 08?!?!?!?!?

I completely forgot about my summer reading do for 08. I am going to be a freshman this year and i forgot about my reading over the summer. It completely slipped my mind and i didn’t remember my teacher addressing it to us. I called a few of my friends who filled me in on “Some” of my requirements and stuff. I need to read a novel and biography… i have already begun reading The Giver by Lois Lowry and i am already on page 50. I just started today, but i have only 2 weeks… Please anyone help me on some books for a good biography??? or some tips on reading because i hate it!
