What Ken Follett successful?

Nobody would be surprised to know the author Ken Follett's favorite is jane austen, which explains why many of her female characters are so strong and why relationships are important both in Pillars of the Earth or even the fall of Giants (easy to guess, because it tracks three families through the 20th century). In Pillars of the Earth, there are drawings illustrating the progress of the construction the cathedral in the early chapters so that readers can get a better idea (visual idea) of what is in the text.

Slightly excessive sexual

The only thing that detracts a bit from the columns of the experience of the Earth Ken Follett tendency to alternate peace with violence, and after a while the players are beginning to expect. Some scenes with sexual violence are a bit excessive (some readers), although the characters still feel familiar to them.

On the bestseller list Time and Again

It does not seem too much work for Ken Follett to get his name on the bestseller list again and again. Initially, however, he also had to undergo several unsuccessful attempts before and finally met a wonderful success. For the most part of the seventies, he worked as a journalist in a newspaper, then in a publishing house.

Ken Follett Strikes Gold

The World War II spy thriller Eye of the Needle appeared in 1978 (Ken Follett first major success), and he never looked back since. In The Pillars of the Earth, he struck gold again, as it was a success crazy right away and was also selected in the reading club Oprah Winfrey. He became a television mini-series as well. Subsequent pillars, called World Without End is just as successful if the readers always want to know more about the man himself Ken Follett, and how does it take to get so many large and interesting books at the same time, over and over again.

He urges readers Emotionally

Ken Follett himself believes that these issues are not. The most important part of the novel is the reader must be emotionally engaged with the story. Same the action scenes or romance work well only if the player is involved in these scenes or identifies with the characters. If the reader does not care about the characters or situations, the books will not sell. It began when he passed a financial problem, he had to repair his car and there was no money her. Soon he realized he had great potential as a writer, so it was not good as a journalist.

Ken Follett is not secure

Like so many other successful authors, it is not insecurity, which is rare. He says himself that he is not tortured soul (noted by its editor), and he writes his books in a happy mood. The only fight for him when writing The Pillars of the Earth was when he finished 200 pages in two years and realized he was far from the finish line.
