authors suggest for me?
I'm looking for writers off the beaten track. I read all of jane austen, Bill Bryson, Sarah Dessen, Robin McKinley, Garth Nix, George Orwell, JK Rowling and enjoyed – please do not offer them:). I am not a fan Myers or Dan Brown. I enjoy a variety, except historical fiction (eg, All quiet on the Western Front). If you're a fan of one of the authors above, if Please list some of your other favorite authors. Read all of Kurt Vonnegut. Excellent work. I like Slaughterhouse-Five best. Also I love Ernest Hemingway. The Garden of Eden is absolutely incredible. One last thing, Dianna Wynn Jones is one of my favorite fantasy writers. If you have authors who have stories similar to hers, Please enlighten me:).
Some of my favorite authors are: Chuck Palahniuk. My favorite books of his monsters are invisible and survivor. Her writing is not for everyone, but I quite enjoy. If Like Vonnegut, so I think you'll like Chuck, they are similar and are often told that the style of writing itself. If you decide to read it, I beg you not reading one of his recent books [Pygmy Snuff, Rant]. The more work the better. Richard Matheson. His works had an affinity for turned into terrible movies I [Am Legend, the box [which is actually called Button, Button,]. So if you've seen all the movies based on his works, do not assume that stories are something similar. It kind of leans toward sci-fi, but his stuff is wonderful. He has written for The Twilight Zone for years … and stephen king says Richard is one of the authors that most influenced him. If you read his books of tales are much better than his novels. Duel, I Am Legend and Button, Button are his best. Amy Hempel. Everyone should read his Collected Stories before dying. It is a fabulous author, I can not say enough good about it. Stephen King. If you do not read at least one novel by Stephen really good, you do not know what you miss. The Stand, It, the shining, etc. Wonderful. Dennis Lehane. Again, many of his books turned into movies [with more success than Richard Matheson, thank you] Jesus. It wrote Gone Baby Gone, Shutter Island, Mystic River, etc. It is a good writer. Most of its orders leans toward crime drama-ish. Neil Gaiman, Alice Sebold, mark twain. Enjoy:]
