Anchor Text: Does Make Your Website Traffic Sink or Swim?

There was much discussion on the merits of "anchor text" the technique of using keyword text related to the URL of your site. For example, you can link bass fishing "to your bassfishing website.

You can use the anchor text on your site to link to other pages on your site, or you can use with your Links to other sites. This technique can be very effective.

A well known example of the effectiveness of anchor text is "failure" – Just go to Google and type in "failure" and you will get the website's biography of George W. Bush!

How did this happen?

Well, many Bush critics put the text "failure" on their Web sites and linked to the biography of Bush. Over time and with sufficient anchor text on many, many sites related to the biography of Bush, now Bush's biography is listed first in Google for the word "failure".

This teaches us an important lesson. If you want to get a number in the search engines for a keyword, then choose a keyword that you want to be listed for, and then put a link to your site behind this keyword text on hundreds or thousands of Web sites.

But, hey, not so fast. Bush's "failed" history has had its tour and many people know about it. In fact, many people have used this ploy that Google now a name for it: "anchor text spamming."

It is like many things on the Internet – what worked for some time does not work any longer. In fact, Google now becomes suspicious when they see the anchor text of links to the same site over and over. And yes, it better if you choose a half-dozen keywords and vary the anchor text link to your website.

(However, it is interesting to note Google has not indexed on sites using the anchor text of "failure" in the biography of Bush … but it is politics.)

What is also effective to use keywords 3-5 words in your anchor text. You not only reduce competition with several keywords, but we must also refine your traffic to all the people who are interested in your site.

Let's face, using a word Key as "fish" as anchor text to your website probably will not get you the most qualified traffic. After all, "fish" has many meanings – you can even attract people just want to learn to play the card game fish.

But if you use keywords like "fishing the bass side, "trafficking then you get qualified for your site – people who actually do bass fishing and you want Learn how to do better. Even better is "bass fishing tackle lures. With this, your visitors can really zero on your site.

Use 3-5 word keyword anchor text is always better than one or two words. Also, vary the text as "fish to fight against low "or" best fishing lures Bass Lake "- use your imagination. The words more and more variations, the better your chances of your pages picked up in the results pages of search engines (SERPs). You really do not want to compete with all the anchor text for "bass fishing. '

For best results, use 3-5 keywords in your anchor text and vary from one link to another …

As in Toy story, Newman’s music for A Bug’s Life forms much of the crucial human dimension of the computer-generated visuals, replete with an upbeat, if ever-so-slyly fatalistic “theme” song, “The Time of Y…

Fritz Lang’s Metropolis belongs to legend as much as to cinema. It’s a milestone of sci-fi and German expressionism. Yet the story makes minimal sense, and the “theme” belongs in a fortune cookie; to experience the film’s pagan power, you have to see the movie. But for decades we couldn’t, not really–not with so many versions, all incomplete, often in public-domain prints like smudged photocopies…

Patterns of Text

Patterns of Text

$165

It is increasingly clear that, in order to understand language as a phenomenon, we must understand the phenomenon of text. Our primary experience of language comes in the form of texts, which embody the complete communicative events through which our language-using lives are lived. These events are shaped by communicative needs, and this shaping is reflected in certain characteristic patterns in the texts. However, the nature of texts and text is still elusive: we know which forms are typically found in text but we do not yet have a full grasp of how they constitute its textuality, how they make a text “tick”. The twelve contributions to this volume show how texts across a wide range of text types hold together by different patterns of chunking and linking. The common purpose in all the contributions is to explore the nature of text patterning as the functional environment within which language operates.
