Write your book introduction as a sales tool
Is your book introduction designed to seal the sale? Probably not, and many open a book to read, view an introduction, yawn, boring, and I turn the page. Why, because the authors, including myself, have tried to introduce as only a "why he wrote the book 'page.
Most people do not care so much "why he wrote the book "as they do about how your book can help. Here's a refreshing touch to the old boring book introduction. Write your introduction next book as a sales tool. Includes all the same elements but add benefits that engage your reader.
Think about it: people want to know how most of his textbook help them, teach and inspire. Continue to connect your potential readers with a sizzling title and back cover. Now the next step to seal the sale with your book's introduction. Write it as a short note to his readers to participate in the benefits they receive. To write his introduction book as a sizzling sales tool, you must include the following:
1. Hook. Use the same element journalist and professional writers use the hook. Develop a hook shocking fact, statistic or come into consideration. Better yet, solve your audience's top challenge. Answer to your question above, "Why should I buy your book?" Make your opening statements short but attractive.
2. Connection. Try to connect with their audience in their introduction. Describe your audience's challenge. Describe where you are now and why have not succeeded yet. Mention why he wrote the book. End the paragraph with a general statement about how the book will benefit them (thesis statement).
3. Benefits. In the following paragraphs, keep answering the question especially in regard to their potential readers, "Why should I buy your book? "Follow engage them with the overall benefits increased communication, good fortune, finances or health. Sprinkle with some specific advantages. For example, an author friend of mine wrote in "" Discover Article Speedway 'how to write short articles fast and easy to put your marketing on the Internet in the fast lane to sales. "
4. Format. Every good non-fiction book should display a form to give the public an idea of what to expect inside. The table of contents offer a general format and direction. In the introduction to books are the features that will help your audience in each chapter. For example, most formats include a chapter hook, the thesis followed by a cough, tips, tools of participation, then summarize the story.
5. Invitation. Summarize with 1-2 sentences. Include an enthusiastic invitation to read the book. For example, one of my favorite authors invites her readers into the text with a warm, "" Come ride with me through of the principles of coaching. "
If you do not use the above principles, you can never enjoy the level of sales of his book deserves. Moreover, writing a sizzling introduction with the hook, the connection, the benefits, the format, the invitation and fill your readers with the expectation of what your book can do for them. Get this right and hope you take your card, swipe and buy his book on the ground. Now go ahead sizzle your introduction and sell more than books I could ask, dream or think.

The Art of Fiction $12.99 In 1958, Ayn Rand, already the world-famous author of such bestselling books as atlas shrugged and The Fountainhead, gave a private series of extemporaneous lectures in her own living room on the art of fiction. Tore Boeckmann and Leonard Peikoff for the first time now bring readers the edited transcript of these exciting personal statements. The Art of Fiction offers invaluable lessons, in which Rand analyzes the four essential elements of fiction: theme, plot, characterization, and style. She demonstrates her ideas by dissecting her best-known works, as well as those of other famous authors, such as Thomas Wolfe, Sinclair Lewis, and Victor Hugo. An historic accomplishment, this compendium will be a unique and fascinating resource for both writers and readers of fiction. |
