Ideas how to generate more sales for your book or novel

There is nothing mysterious about coming up with ideas for his book. Within one or two pages, you will more ideas than you know what to do with. Your ideas start with you. When you think about what you enjoy, on their past experiences and knowledge, is guaranteed a regular source of ideas. Let's turn on the source.

1. A generator of ideas: what you are good at?

Make a list of 20 things you are well. Not think too much about it. Perhaps you are good at the present time for people buying, you have a knack for choosing the right gift. Maybe you're a good cook or a good father, or a good swimmer or a good tennis player. Or maybe it used to be good at one or more of these things. For example: I grew up with horses, and horses owned for many years. I'm good with horses, and a good rider. If he saw a gap in the market for a book about horses, I would feel comfortable writing the book.

You get the idea. List at least 20 things you are good at, or been good at in the past. For example, if you know you're an excellent gardener, even though they now live an apartment, list "gardening."

2. Idea Generator Two: Tap into your past experiences

Experiences sell. If you have been kidnapped by little green men from Mars, is a book. If you're a bigamist, a book is. People have written books about their illnesses (see challenge to opportunity below), his addictions, and their pets. Browse the bestseller lists to see what people are writing personal experiences.

This is where you walk by the memory lane. If you're in your twenties, will be a breeze. If you are in the forty years or more, a breeze. Do not get bogged down with this, list of 20 experiences you've had to come to mind.

The easiest way to get experience is to work backwards through the stages of life, or through decades. Again, do not take much time for this. Set a time limit — ten minutes is sufficient.

3. Idea Generator Three: Leverage your knowledge

What do you know? Start by making a list of all the issues that were good at in school. Below is a list of all jobs I've had – yes, has the part-time job.

It also lists:

Her hobbies. Are you a keen Chihuahua breeder? Do you quilt? Take pictures?

His current work. What are you learning on the job that other people would pay to learn?

Places you have lived. Her hometown may be boring for you, but guides are selling well.

Your tree. What are the special skills of their loved ones and make you could write?

Spend ten minutes writing about many subjects as you have knowledge.

4. Four generating ideas: What do you like most in life?

Celebrity chef Nigella Lawson freely admits that she cooks because she loves to eat. Nigella has turned her love of food in a career. She regularly produces bestselling books. (Her chocolate recipes are brilliant.) What do you like? People have written about garage sales, cosmetics, cars, vacations. If you like something, it is likely that thousands or maybe millions of others will love it too.

Watch the papers and take note of trends current. Or better yet, listen to what their children are talking about, or asking to buy for them. Children tend to be well up on what's happening.

Remember would take about 5-8 months for your book arrives in bookstores. Therefore, the hot topics currently in the lists of bestsellers may be old news before that his book is in stores. This does not mean, of course, you can not write on perennial favorites such as money, sex and exercise. These issues never go out of popularity, and a new twist to one of them is always a safe bet.

The idea of writing about what he likes to put it is that passion and enthusiasm for his subject. Enthusiasm is a must.

5. Idea Generator Five: from challenge to opportunity

You face challenges every day. Most are minor, some are big challenges. If you've ever faced a bigger challenge, or if you're facing a moment, then consider that the things you learn could help other people. Whatever your challenge is – whether a change of residence or face a life threatening disease – to others facing similar challenges and these challenges lie the seeds of books.

Make a list of 20 challenges it has faced in his life. Anything catastrophic qualifies: losing your job, facing bankruptcy, the betrayal of a spouse. If you have had a quiet life, then make a list of challenges that the people you know have faced.

Other difficulties that may be considered are any habit you've broken, from congenital lateness to overeating.

Once you've finished brainstorming, you'll have dozens of ideas in the book. Winnow the No headlines. Do not delete them, move them to another computer file. Call it "junk" or "snippets."

First published in 1986, it has become a standard guide for museum interpreters and guides, culinary historians, historical re-enactors, campers, scouts, and home cooks interested in foodways and experimenting with new recipes and techniques.Hearthside Cooking contains recipes for more than 250 historic dishes, including breads, soups, entrées, cakes, custards, sauces, and more. For each dish, Nancy Carter Crump provides two sets of instructions, so dishes can be prepared over the open fire or using modern kitchen appliances. For novice hearthside cooks, Crump offers specific tips for proper hearth cooking, including fire construction, safety, tools, utensils, and methods.More than just a cookbook, Hearthside Cooking also includes information about the men and women who wrote the original recipes, which Crump discovered by scouring old Virginia cookbooks, hand-written receipt books, and other primary sources in archival collections. With this new edition, Crump includes additional information on African American foodways, how the Civil War affected traditional southern food customs, and the late-nineteenth-century transition from hearth to stove cooking. Hearthside Cooking offers twenty-first-century cooks an enjoyable, informative resource for traditional cooking.
