How to Write Social Media Book author Profile Pages to attract potential readers
If you are an author of books that you want potential readers to find on the Internet, you want to be as visible as possible in places that readers might be. And in almost all places of social media that you subscribe to – such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn – you can Write a profile about yourself.
That should tell these profiles so effective way to attract potential readers?
Twitter has only 160 characters for your info Bio
Let's start with Twitter with 160 characters for your bio. Obviously, you're going to put that you are an author of books (fiction or documentary, perhaps) and, presumably, you will have a Book Web site URL to "more info" URL "field in your profile. What are you going to say in 160 characters? It depends.
Do you have a business in addition to being an author of books? If so, you may want to put information about this activity in your bio. Or is there a hook in particular concerning your book that you want to get in your biography? Maybe your book is a novel based on a true story.
Your objective in the short biography Twitter is interesting enough to make you (even if everything is true) that people can find "connections" to you and you want to follow you.
This means that you should not leave this field empty bio. If you want people to follow you on Twitter, you must be willing to share about yourself.
And remember that you can edit this information easily. For example, if your book wins a prize, you should consider changing your Twitter bio to reflect this award. Revisit your bio every two months to ensure it has the most current version of yourself.
Facebook A lot more space Bio info
Now on to Facebook, which has a section in the most bio info on your profile page with the option to include as many of your own website URL you want.
Now here is the often overlooked additional Facebook
You can have a very brief bio in your photo you can see when visiting your page and your wall info page. This is a golden opportunity to get the most important points in a very short space. Because, honestly, how many people will read all these long entries on your info page? (And for long entries, to use lists instead of long paragraphs dense.)
Enjoy this short, easy to read biography of the info you want more share with your Facebook friends. Note that this is not necessarily the same as the info you choose to share with your followers Twitter, even if in both cases you would like to emphasize that you are an author of books. And, again, to update this brief bio Facebook every two months.
LinkedIn has its features
Now, for the social networking third site – LinkedIn. This site offers a very brief space to put a few words under your photo and the possibility of providing a brief summary of your business. authors of books should enjoy two places to send their most important information. Then the rest of the info profile on LinkedIn is more focused on jobs and careers.
There is an important "trick". LinkedIn only allows three website links. But do not click on "my company" or "My site" or "My Blog" before putting in the links. Click on "Other" in each case. Then to the right of "Other" put descriptive words such as "book blog" or "Book of the site." You want potential readers to know that they can obtain information about your book (s) to your sites.
Like your other social media profiles, see your profile information is often to LinkedIn ensure that the information is current.
In conclusion, do not make the mistake of thinking that these profiles are not important and therefore you botch written info. These profiles provide information that helps you make it interesting to potential readers. Spend as much time writing and revision these patterns of social media as you would spend writing and revision of any provision or the page of your novel or fiction book.
