book publishers
Could you please give me names of book publishers shop?

My friend and I think the publication of our manuscript humorous articles on male-female relationships. I know this is a book of special interests, and we are not well known authors. Are there any book publishers shop who would consider such a project? We really don t want to go to the subsidy publishers like to Vantage what we are trying a few real publishers.

Publishers assume all risks in publishing, so you do not decide to publish – A publisher takes all the decisions. You can have a manuscript on which you have strong feelings, but unless an editor is almost certain its ability to make a quick profit, he will not see the light of day by issuing conventional means. Today, the publication in the U.S. is owned by three multinational conglomerates who care about profit and not for dissemination of the value literature was once the case in the edition. Each manuscript should present the evidence it can bring more than it costs to publish it and take it on the shelves. To this end, the editors expect to bring your own marketing platform. Therefore WWF wrestlers can publish cookbooks and celebrity idiot can publish books for children. It is not the quality or value, is about sales. Each editor has a number of securities that may be published annually. To capture one of these slots, you must have the chops. You also need an agent. Publishers will no longer accept submissions "on the transom." They expect an officer to act as a buffer and filter the garbage when they are not bothered with it. Given your subject, Unless you Dr. Phil or Dr. John Gray, you probably can not be considered an "authority" for "relations" humorous or otherwise. This does not mean that what you wrote is not very fun, I'm just telling you how publishers see these things. Keep in mind, too, that the majority of book sales in this country is happening online at Amazon, and on the ground at Barnes and Noble and Borders. retail have limited space and can contain a number of very specific books. The shelf-life of a book today is about 30 days before being fired and returned to the publisher to make room for another new book that nobody will buy. Thirty days is not enough time to get toe-out. Get local bookstores to take on a lot is difficult and depends greatly on the attitude of the owner of the shop. Go Public Library reference desk and ask to see the writer's Market, which lists all types of publishers. You find information on submissions, requirements, rates, applications, representation, the author of the market, etc. breaks also lists by genre helpful. The other thing you can do is publish your work yourself, and not a subsidy publisher, but Kinkos: print, bind, distribute it locally. See if you can get any buzz going. Before you take this step, what local bookstores may be willing to wear it. Are cat morning, it shows you could be invited to local? How can you promote your book? There is much to editing and much is not pleasant. You've probably sunk a lot in your manuscript. But in the big picture of publishing, this is a little consideration. Good luck to you.

Black Book Publishers in the United States

Black Book Publishers in the United States

$95

Since the second decade of the nineteenth century, there have been black-owned book publishers in the United States, addressing the special concerns of black people in ways that other book publishers have not. This is the first work to treat extensively the individual publishing histories of these firms. Though largely ignored by historians, the story of these publishers, as documented in this study, reveals fascinating details of literary history, as well as previously unknown facts about the contribution of blacks to Western civilization. Donald Franklin Joyce offers comprehensive profiles of forty-six publishing companies, selected for inclusion through an examination of major bibliographic works, book advertisements, periodical literature, and business directories. Each profile contains information on the company's publishing history, books and other publications that were released, information sources about the firm, other titles issued, libraries holding titles produced by the publisher, and officers and addresses, where appropriate. Entries are arranged alphabetically by the publisher name, while an appendix presents a geographic listing of the firms and an index offers author, title, and subject access. This work will be an important resource for students, scholars, and researchers interested in cultural and intellectual black history, as well as public and academic libraries seeking specific information on individual publishing companies.
