What attracts people in the gore, torture movies?

Films like "Saw," "Hostel" and many more like them not have an original storyline, very good actors or something. But still end up No. 1 at the box office and become the best selling DVD. But these films do their point extremely realistic scenes of torture and death. For why is it so popular? What drives people (not just teenagers in groups) of all genres and ages to go see the film that best produces an effect on the gag. If they wanted to get an emotion / adrenaline-rush that could see a thriller, then why do people I watch?? I admit I watched a torture / gorno movie once, but only because I wanted to see what the hype is all about. So why people watch Saw 1, 2, 3, 4, 5? Thanks! I'd really like to know!

People have always been entertained by the torture and violence, provided that it was someone else getting killed. In the old days, torture and violence was real. You had the torture and public executions, animal fighting, struggles to death in the coliseum and so on. Today you have to believe that violence and torture. The technology is allowing this to become quite convincing. It in short, a declining trend and evil, but of course people like that kind of thing you know. Meanwhile, as I said, because it is someone else. If this happens, they tend to be real concerned about the morality of a sudden. This is the wonderful world of human nature.
