Romance novels – The most popular genre of literature today

While many find fault in the previous section, the claim that romance novels are a form of literature, is no less true that reads more novels than any other genre in North America. This has been the case since 2004, when Fifty-five percent of all paperbacks sold in the category of romance.

That's an incredible amount of books, and certainly a lot people who read them. But again, there seems a reluctance to accept the facts. Why? Many like to say that only women who are single, desperately unhappy, or just desperate, uneducated and do not forget, are the only people who read novels in any form. And despite vast amounts of data rejects such claims.

So what the data show? That women and men from all walks of life, of extreme poverty in the rich, the uneducated to the educated, the unmarried and those involved in compliance, long-term relationships, the unemployed who are the main professional grade, reading romances.

Romance novels are also seen with some degree of derision. Many say, and I have to admit that in some cases there was a degree of truth in this kind of book that just follow a formula. If you've read, you've read them all. But that can be said to incorporate many best-sellers in New York Times as well. There are lead authors who refuse to read anymore, because the plot is exactly the same in each and every one of his novels.

But for those who like to read a good romance for any reason, the good news is that there is an endless stream of them available. And there is something to suit all tastes. Romantic suspense, romantic comedy, western romances and so on. The sub-genres of romance category are many and varied.
