Four concepts to begin their best-selling model

Every writer should begin their work with an idea. It usually comes as an epiphany. Namely bulb as the time when he was inspired to write about something. Here are four tips to get started in this best-seller follows: epiphany, the premise, theme, and the question history. We will discuss each topic:

1. Epiphany

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, the definition of epiphany is:

Epiphany capitalized: January 6 observed as a festival of the church in the commiseration of the Magi as the first manifestation of Christ to the gentiles An appearance or manifestation especially a divine being

one (1): usually sudden manifestation or perception of an essential nature or meaning of something

a (2): an intuitive grasp of reality through something (as an event) usually simple and striking

one (3): a discovery of lighting, making or disclosure

b: a revealing scene or moment

The first time I heard the word epiphany was in a writing class. At least I think it was the first time. There might even have paid attention to the strange word before that date. I was not sure what it meant, let alone how it related with writing.

In this class we focus on the latter definition – a telling moment or scene. Each main character must have a moment late in the book when they realize they are in love, or what they want from life, or why someone was killed, etc, but first a book should begin with the writer's own epiphany.

Why do you want to write a book? An idea, a character lighting, a message they wish to convey, or place that her breath? Always a reason for his choice of ideas. Do not start writing a book without one. This is his epiphany. If you do not have one, do not put your soul into his work. This translates into the definition: a discovery of enlightenment or disclosure.

For me it is usually an event that arouses deep emotion in my heart. In "Legacy of Lies" was the idea that self-motivation of people using lies to get what they want, but say that he did for others. In "The real pain "that all started with a real murder, horrible news that made me completely. I had to share with others the powerful emotions that the segment news stirred in me. In Home Repairs "was the concept of freedom from a domineering father and live her own life. Each of these situations was that shining moment I realized that this was what I write.

A good reference to determine what kind of book you are writing is: "The characters and points of view" Orson Scott Card. If you have not heard the terminology, which is where the MICE quotient comes from – Milieu, Idea, Character, Event. This is a good book to have in their repertoire.

Understanding the MICE quotient helps you understand what kind of book to write. If you're writing a book based on the establishment, on an idea where ask and answer one question: how a character in some progress, or simply an event that makes the character's life into chaos?

2. Premise

An epiphany is then translated into a premise. A premise is a brief statement that identifies the main concept of his book. You can not just be the romance or murder or Travel through time. It is the underlying message of the book is described. This is the premise for each of my books:

The legacy of lies – the truth will always make you free

The Royal Pain – You can run but you can not hide

Home Repair – Your own self be true

As you can see, none of these are unique ideas. The interesting part is how to cope with their characters with them.

3. Topic

Of all the units, must now decide on their theme for the book. The subject is one or two words that identify their work. Always keep your goal in mind you're writing for your characters do not meander through the book. Mine follows:

The legacy of lies – the truth

The Real Pain – accountability

Home Repairs – auto

This issue can be applied to multiple characters in the same book, especially with a protagonist. Her heroine may detest lies. Your hero or protagonist may be full of them because conflicts.

In a different example, the concept of self can be viewed in several ways:

Self assertion = assertion of Self existence

Self-destructive behavior = doomed

Be a way of life =

Presumption = High view Self

In my book, "Home Repairs", the heroine is going to accept his relationship with his father (his nature) to feel like a failure (counterproductive) to assert itself (self-affirmation). His father, who is battling, is rich and extra protection (self-importance).

4. History of Question

Another useful tool is the question history. What we are as a writer trying to find your book? This needs to be kept to one or two lines and provides good rear cover propaganda. Here is my example:

Legacy of Lies

Can a girl character strong, hungry for knowledge of the past of his father, and a responsible leader of the city, come together to discover the truth … without falling in love or lose his life?

The real pain

After a car accident, a battered woman in the race ends stranded on a remote dairy and their presence raises a murder Old Town. Can the dairy manager to keep women loyal innocent safe despite their reluctance to say anything?

Home repairs

Can a child determined to escape the clutches of her overprotective father moving out and buy his own bungalow, 1911, or restoration specialist hired Hunky to come with their own safety manual?

Discover your reason for writing a book will help in the long run to stay focused on what you mean, how to say and how they move their characters to the end of the book, without losing sight of what you want to achieve. Remember, your characters will have their own epiphanies and goals they want to achieve. Happy writing.
