how to build a store selling book?

I lose a business library for mismanagement, I think right! in this bookstore, I not provide things like the sale of stationery and printing service, refresh … However, no charges of clients coming to me: (What do I do? Could you please give me some ideas that can help improve the management of a bookstore? What are the tips interesting which can carry loads of customers every day? please i really need your help to show how best to manage the construction of a success library … Thank you … smiley

This is not "bad management" that the inevitable consequence of market developments / Competition and changing customer requirements .. About the only independent book stores I expect to survive are those that offer a service specialist who can be found online or from the majors .. and have a "natural clientele. For example the United Kingdom, there are a number specialized libraries at Oxford in the old / old out-of-print English literature .. in a city with many universities specializing in arts and humanities … Students and staff are always "navigation" of these stores .. I also see quite a few 'high street' (non-specialists) Stores that promote the latest ", etc. bestsellers at discounted prices .. and "reading space" where customers can sit down with a coffeee (Sometimes free) and browse the stock .. However, most of them are managed by "big chains" = what (I assume) because they moving large quantities and can get the best price with publishers and can afford to lose money on a special offfer "just published "In the title in order to attract customers to buy other securities. I also see some" book of discount stores, offering end of line and " quart overflow "stock price stupid .. these guys sell so cheap as Amazon / eBay will never beat them on the total price (due to shipping costs). So I guess you need to watch the likes of Amazon and the department stores and ask "what can I do to be different and to meet the needs customers of these stores can not do? "
