audio books stephen king!
Stephen King was born in 1947 in Portland, Maine. It is one of the most famous writers of America, who wrote over 200 stories including over 50 bestselling horror and fantasy novels.
When King was a young boy, he would have attended a horrible, horrible accident – a
childhood friend of his was hit and killed by a train. King says he has no recollection of the incident, but her parents insist that it happened – and many commentators say that this event is based in King's Tower writing horror.
King received a degree in English bacehlor University of Maine, where he also met Tabitha Spruce, the woman he later married. After college, the king and his wife lived in a trailer, and it became a high school teacher in writing short stories for magazines for men to make ends meet.
King's first major break was the publication of his first novel, Carrie, a young girl with psychic powers. While King was first written history, he became discouraged, and threw them in the trash. His wife removed the writings of the trash and convinced the king to send to a publisher. He did just that, received an advance of $ 2,500 for his work and career fabulous writer was well on its way.
King fought against drug and alcohol in his past, and even admits that was the basis for the alcoholic father in the shining. He also survived a serious car accident in 1999, which he said sparked creativity even in his writings.
These days, the King writes horror, but at a much slower pace than in the past. He spends much of his time rooting for his beloved Boston Red Sox, and gives much of his time and money for the local YMCA.
You can enjoy all the work King's awesome by the wonderful world of audiobooks! Listen to the classics such as despair, the storm of the century, Christine, and stand. Or if you dare, lying on his bed at night with such horror that he, or insomnia!

Books $10.99 Now in paperback, Larry McMurtry’s fascinating and surprisingly intimate memoir of his lifelong passion of buying, selling, and collecting rare antiquarian books: “a necessary and marvelous gift” (San Antonio Express-News). • Acclaimed author: Spanning a lifetime of literary achievement, Larry McMurtry has succeeded at a wide variety of genres, from coming-of-age novels like The Last Picture Show, to essays like In a Narrow Grave, to the reinvention of the “Western” on a grand scale like the Pulitzer Prize–winning Lonesome Dove. Here at last is the private McMurtry writing about himself: as a boy growing up in a largely “bookless” world, as a young man devouring the world of literature, as a fledgling writer and family man, and above all as one of America’s most prominent “bookmen.” • A work of charm, grace, and good humor: reading books is like reading the best kind of diary—full of wonderful anecdotes, amazing characters, spicy gossip, and shrewd observations. Like its author, Books is erudite, full of life, and full of great stories. Yet the most curious tale of all is the amazing transformation of a reluctant young cowboy into a world-class literary figure who has spent his life not only writing books, but rounding them up the way he once rounded up cattle. At once chatty, revealing, and deeply satisfying, Books is Larry McMurtry at his best. |
