What Is A Good Romance novel?
What makes a good romance novel? The basic concept behind it is that the story is usually about the relationship and eventual love between two people and they usually have a happy ending. The “they lived happily every after” theme is very important for most of them.
Romance novels are very popular in North America where they are one of the best selling types of book. It is estimated that there are over 2000 romance novels published yearly and that there are over 50 million romance novel readers.
A romance novel usually has certain consistent themes and are grouped together by these themes. They can include a similar setting, time period, level of sensuality, or type of conflict. The companies that publish romance novels usually have a set of guidelines that their authors use when creating new stories.
The real purpose of a romance novel is to provide an escape for the reader from their reality. The person can temporarily ignore their responsibilities and transport themselves into the novel, pretending to be the damsel in distress. They read through the trials and tribulations in book relating to them and anxiously wait for their Prince Charming to come and rescue them. And, to take them away from all their troubles and woos to the place where they will live happily ever after.
The ability to have to live out this fantasy is a way for some people to find a release from their daily grind and the romance novel is one of the best sellers in the market place. They are sold in every grocery, drug, and discount retail establishments around the country. You can even join any number of different books clubs and you will automatically receive the latest new novels each month. You do not have to go out and buy them-they just keep coming until you tell them to stop your membership.
Many people do not buy them since there are so many that come out every month. They go to the library and borrow them for a few weeks and then return them and get more. Or, some libraries sell older copies of books for 10 cents each-that way, you can keep them as long as you want and never have to return them. You can always pass them on to friends or take them to work and put them on the shelves in the office’s lending library.
Women hate to admit that they enjoy these romance novels, but there is nothing to be embarrassed about. With over 50 million of them sold every year, someone out there is reading them! True love and romance are a part of our lives and we enjoy knowing that someone out there is experiencing love and romance.
Whether you fill the bath tub with bubble bath, lounge by the pool, or sit in your car waiting for the children to come out of school, take a romance novel with you. You will enjoy the story and it will help pass the time. You deserve to take a few minutes from your full schedule to fantasize and lose yourself in a good romance novel.

The Gun Seller $15 British actor and comedian Hugh Laurie’s first book is a spot-on spy spoof about hapless ex-soldier Thomas Lang, who is drawn unwittingly and unwillingly into the center of a dangerous James Bond–like plot of international terrorists, arms dealing, high-tech weapons, and CIA spooks. You may recall having seen Laurie in the English television series Jeeves and Wooster ; Laurie played Bertie Wooster, the clutzy hero of the P.G. Wodehouse comic novels that originated those characters. The lineage from Wodehouse’s Wooster to Laurie’s Lang is clear, and, if you like Wodehouse, you’ll probably love The Gun Seller . |

Girl on the best seller list $3.99 The book that damned an entire town FERN FULTON: I’m the only friend Gloria Wealdon has in this town. How could she write those dreadful things about me and my husband and our daughter? VIRGINIA FULTON, age 15: Mrs Wealdon’s a stinker and I’d like to murder her and write a sequel to her book. I’d call it Population 12,359. DR. JAY MANNERHEIM, psychologist: Gloria Wealdon has simply touched off unpleasantries that in many cases would have exploded sooner or later anyway. MILO WEALDON: I never realized my wife had such contempt, such loathing for me until I read her book. MIN STEWART: My family has been here for generations. I consider Gloria Wealdon so vulgar as to be quite beneath contempt. GLORIA WEALDON: The hell with everybody in this snotty town. They made my life miserable. Now we’re even. |
