I enjoyed the series by Charlaine Harris – Aurora Teagarden and Lily Bard is a straight mystery, Harper Connolly (* adult content), which is mostly mystery, but has a small amount of fantasy in it and the Southern Vampire Mystery series known as Sookie Stackhouse / True Blood (* adult content). Richelle Mead has three series. Vampire Academy is solid. His other two series, the Succubus and Sark Swan series are also good, but are intended for a wider audience.
