audio books for children

MP3 audio books are beneficial for children to learn about literature?

Technology has changed the way that children learn in all the world. Computers are used in classrooms and teachers are using software programs to design a curriculum based on the needs of each individual child. A question that is often overlooked until it is too late is whether or not mp3 audiobooks are a beneficial way for children to be reported in the literature. r

The Reading is a skill that everyone should have to survive in today's world. Classrooms around the world teach children the basics of reading and help to introduce children to a world of literature designed to broaden their minds. But are MP3 audio books on how to proceed? Is the audio books for children are really helping children learn or are an unnecessary crutch which later may harm a child?
Mp3 audio books are collections of literature recorded in a digital environment and then downloaded onto an mp3 player. These audio books ranging from popular fiction "how to" guides. The convenience is undeniable. Adults often lead busy lives and want to stay abreast of current literature, but are not the time to sit and read a book from beginning to end. Mp3 audiobooks bridge this gap quite well.

At issue is whether or not it is acceptable for children and adolescents who rely on this medium. Of course it is a great alternative to the DVD player laptops, but does it really benefit?

The answer is yes and no. Mp3 audiobooks are several pros. The first is for children who are learning to read. Children will find, at one time or another, struggling with a particular word in a story. Following the words as the voice reads them aloud, the child can identify what a particular word or phrase. It is very similar to that of the parents read stories to their children at night. Parents are another version of mp3 audio books.

The disadvantage of mp3 audio books is when they are used. It is important for a child or teen learn to read and process the information correctly. This is a skill gained that comes from practice. If the child is listening to an audio book CD, cassette or mp3 version only then they are not buying this great life needs skill. Can be well informed about the literature, but ignorant of how to read it for themselves.

The effectiveness of mp3 audio books come into question when a student is using the file as its sole means of learning. They may know what the story is about, but they are not learning how words are together. They may know what a word, but it sounds like not recognize him. Studies have shown that helps them see the words printed in memory and not heard them.

Too much of anything, including mp3 audio books is not good for anyone. Students have to learn to read and understand the literature. Some things, while great to hear, lose their effectiveness if not read. Take for example some forms of poetry. A person who reads a sound file, but the listener loses the physical impact of seeing the words take shape in stanzas or forms. So you end up with a student who can recite a poem, but can not read properly.

Mp3 audiobooks have to be used in conjunction with physical reading. Without it, then great harm being done to a child. They are a great tool to use on the road trips, but are not what is needed when studying for a class. The aim is to combine the two media in a way that increases understanding but also allows people to have to use your mind to process written information. As our technology increases, there will be other ways to discover books. Some will be large and some may interfere with the natural order of learning. As with anything, moderation is the key.

The answer, when it comes to mp3 audiobooks are using is through of moderation. There must be a balance. It is perfectly possible to listen to a book when you do not have time to sit and read, but you should not rely on this method alone. A perfect equilibrium is one where the child can listen to a book when the weather is not really reading and really know how to process information.

Anything done in excess can be harmful. This includes the use of mp3 audio books as the only means of acquiring the new literature. If used properly audio books for children can get the child interested in the realms of literature and reading. You can make learning a fun experience. The child can hear the book and still know the importance of reading for themselves.

Writing Children's Books For Dummies

Writing Children’s Books For Dummies

$19.99

Everyone loves a children\’s book. And many dream about writing one. But is it actually possible for an unpublished writer—armed with a good story idea and a love of kids—to write, sell, publish, and promote a book? Yes, it is! Veteran children’s book publishing executive and author Lisa Rojany Buccieri and author Peter Economy show you how, in their incredibly useful 2005 first edition of Writing Children’s Books For Dummies® . Buccieri and Economy begin by explaining the basics of the children’s book business, from the nuts and bolts of the various formats and genres—with helpful illustrations to aid you—to the intricacies of the book publishing market, a list of recent award-winning books, and a first peek into the particular mind set that writing children’s books requires. (Hint: Throw out the adult rules, and think like a kid!) Then the authors dive into the actual writing process itself, with tips on setting up a workspace, brainstorming great book ideas, researching the subject you decide on, even speaking with the sorts of kids you hope will eventually read the book. They show you how to create compelling characters and develop them in the manuscript; how to outline and write a plot “arc” of conflict, change, and resolution; how to master the difficult art of writing dialogue; and how to use active (rather than passive) language to keep your story moving along and interesting to young minds. Or, if you’re planning to write a creative nonfiction children’s book—on a topic such as science, nature, or a historical figure, for example—the authors include a chapter on this, too. Ready, set, go… it’s time to sit down and write! Once you’ve finished your book, however, the process has only begun. Now you will refine, submit, and hopefully sell your manuscript. Here again, the authors of Writing Children’s Books For Dummies come through for you. They deliver solid advice on hiring an illustrator—or not; participating in workshops and conferences to learn the business and hone a story; finding an agent; and, finally, submitting the manuscript to publishers and—if you are successful—signing a contract. Along the way, the authors also include tips on handling rejection; a quick primer on the various editors in publishing houses (and how they work to make your book its best); and making a plan to publicize the book, including hiring a publicist if necessary. Like all For Dummies ® books, Writing Children’s Books For Dummies highlights “The Part of Tens,” which includes the Ten Best Ways to Promote Your Story and More Than Ten Great Sources for Storylines. And the ever-helpful Cheat Sheet includes Tips for Editing your Children’s Book Manuscript, Children’s Book No-No’s, Twelve Commandments for Writing Younger Children’s Books, and Tips on Promotion.
